What it is
- Play This Life is an all-in-one life planner for one person.
- It keeps projects, tasks, habits, routines, workouts and chores in one app.
- Ginger is the built-in AI assistant. Ginger creates and changes plans from a conversation.
- You review the changes. Ginger does not decide what matters to you.
- It is not a team or business project tool.
What it does
- Projects: steps, timed work sessions and recorded time before a step is done.
- Tasks: an inbox for quick capture and a weekly planner.
- Habits: flexible targets, for example three times each week or six glasses of water each day.
- Routines: step lists that can differ by day or by alternating week.
- Workouts: exercises with sets, repetitions and load.
- Chores: grouped by room. A chore can repeat by the number of days since it was last done.
- Day start: you choose the hour when your day starts, so late-night work stays on the correct day.
- Progress: completed work is recorded as wins and XP.
- Messages: reminders and a daily morning brief email, with one-click unsubscribe.
Pricing
- Every feature is free for 7 days. A card is necessary to start the trial.
- After the trial: 7.99 USD a month or 55.55 USD a year, plus applicable taxes.
- Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.
- Paddle is the Merchant of Record for web purchases.

- An Android app is in closed testing on Google Play.
- Sign-in is with Google.
- The interface is in English.
AI assistants
- A remote MCP server at https://www.playthislife.com/api/mcp connects AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.
- After you sign in and allow access, the assistant can read and change the tasks in your account.
- Listings in the ChatGPT and Claude directories are in review.
Data
- AI features send your messages and related task context to AI service providers, including DeepSeek.
- Voice input is sent to OpenAI for transcription.
- Supabase hosts the database. Vercel hosts the web app.
- Play This Life is for adults aged 18 or older.
